Merry "Christ"mas to all!

Lynn & Santa (I'm getting my list in early!)

Merry Christmas to all! We love our beautiful family and hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and a safe, healthy New Year! We have had a fun, eventful year, and are grateful for our many blessing. We enjoyed our two years in China and miss the nice people we met and grew to love while there. We are grateful to be back home and near our family. Our greatest blessing is our beautiful children, grandchildren, beautiful mother, and wonderful brothers and sisters who also have some really great kids! We are so lucky to be part of this wonderul family! I'm also grateful for our Savior and so grateful he came into the world to fulfill his mission and that because of his sacrifice and suffering on the cross we can be together as a family in the eternities. I'm thankful that I have the example the Savior gave me so I could live a happier, better life, and for the Holy Ghost, which guides me on a daily basis, even when I don't listen. Merry "Christ"mas to you all!

Love you, Aunt Lynn

Our Mom

Our Mom

Our mom came from a humble birth
But was given a great mission when she came to earth.
Her task was not of the common kind
But a worthier servant you’ll find.

She bore six sons and 3 daughters too,
And did all the things that good mothers do,
And then went on to do even more,
Along with the laundry and vacuuming the floor.

She learned to cook, and sew & plant,
and stored up food like a little ant.
She studied Literature, history & art,
And improved her life, every part.

Her virtue is shown in all that she does,
And her family knows of it because,
Her faith never waivers, she steadfast and true
And has lived by her word her whole life through.

The gospel is dear to her heart and we know,
She’s got that special, heavenly glow.
Her goodness rubs off to all who come near,
To all who know her she’s special, that’s clear.

Her family come first in her life and her heart,
And being a grandmother is quite a great art,
But she plays her role with creativity and flare,
Shows the whole world she can take a dare!

California adventure has nothing on her,
As she tackles the scariest ride with a “sure!”
She can ride a roller coaster with pride,
And if she get’s nervous, she keeps it inside!

She the nicest mom and the coolest granny,
And how she always says the right thing is uncanny.
She deserves our praise and probably some flowers,
But I hope she know we’re glad she is our!

We love you mom!

Day after "stuffing" day!

I had a quiet Stuffing day but enjoyed reading everyone's blog about what they were thanksful for. I'm thankful for all my beautiful children. They are the joy of my life. I'm glad Jason was able to come have dinner with us at senior retirement center we manage. It was good to see him and hear him play the piano. He is so good at it and the residents really enjoyed his music. I'm thankful for Gordon. He is supportive of me and my many hobbies and interests. Our house get's pretty crowded and cluttered with all my hobby stuff, but he's very tolerant! I'm thankful for the wonderful time I had the last two weeks with mom and my wonderful sisters! It twas so great to have the quality time with them. I'm thankful for my home, my education, my many, many wonderful experiences teaching, and for the talents I've been blessed with .It's made my life very interesting. I've been very blessed! I look forward to sharing pictures and some of our daily activities with you and hope you'll drop by.
